Frédéric Bernard created the GUITARS festival in PICARDIE-FRANCE, which he coordinates today.
He manages the Departmental Group of guitars of Aisne.
He has just recorded a CD, with the FRENCH-BRAZILIAN Duo, "ROMANTIC", on copies of the guitar Grobert, of the XIXth century.
The recording of his CD with the duo SEMPLICE is (planned in November, 2009.
His concerts: in May-June 2009 (Guitars in Picardy), Brazil in August 2009, England in March 2010 and Croatia in october 2010.
BIOGRAPHY
Frédéric Bernard started his studies in the conservatory of Troyes with Jean-Pierre CHAUVINEAU, then in Reims with Pascal BOLBACH, and then in Paris with Pedro IBANEZ, and Philippe JOUANNEAU in Orsay. Prize-winner of all theses places in guitar and chamber music, he strated a career in South America in 1990, thanks to the French musicologist, Roger COTTE.
He played like a soloist, and in orchestrates in different cities of Brazil, for French Alliance, then in Germany, Russia and Croatia.
During concerts in Brazil he met the guitarist Giacomo BARTOLONI, and created the FRENCH-BRAZILIAN duo in 1993, which opened the festival of Sao Paulo, (first meeting of brazilien guitarists. Then, ha had many concerts, in South America and France, and 3 recordings CD. The duo has just recorded, a new CD on guitars romantic.
Frédéric BERNARD also created the SEMPLICE duo with Bertrand CÔTE (flute), and the IMPROMTU duo with Karine DROUHIN (cello). 2 CDS were recorded, with partcipation in differents french festivals.
